Booking & Cancellation Policy

1. Deposit Requirement
All bookings require a nonrefundable deposit of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00 USD) per person. No reservation shall be considered confirmed until the deposit has been received.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Refund eligibility is determined by the date on which written notice of cancellation is received by SANKOFA US. All refunds, if applicable, are issued less the nonrefundable deposit.

Cancellations made 90 days or more prior to the scheduled travel date: payments received are refundable, less the deposit.

Cancellations made 60–89 days prior to the scheduled travel date: fifty percent (50%) of payments received are refundable, less the deposit.

Cancellations made 30–59 days prior to the scheduled travel date: twenty-five percent (25%) of payments received are refundable, less the deposit.

Cancellations made fewer than 30 days prior to the scheduled travel date: no refunds will be issued.

3. Travel Insurance Disclaimer
SANKOFA US endeavors to act reasonably and fairly in the event of unavoidable cancellations. However, due to the fluid and rapidly changing nature of the travel industry and circumstances beyond its control, SANKOFA US strongly recommends that participants purchase independent travel insurance. SANKOFA US is not a travel insurance broker, agent, or representative of any insurance provider and makes no representations regarding coverage.

4. Payment Deadlines
All payments are due by 5:00 PM Central Standard Time (CST) on the designated due date. Failure to remit payment by the stated deadline may result in immediate cancellation without further notice.

5. Documentation Requirements
Failure to submit required documentation by the stated deadlines may result in immediate cancellation, with no obligation on the part of SANKOFA US to issue a refund beyond the terms outlined herein.

6. Rebooking Policy
Rebooking may be permitted at the sole discretion of SANKOFA US if requested within twenty-four (24) hours of cancellation.

Rebooking requires:

Payment of a new nonrefundable deposit, and
-
Payment in full of all past-due balances and outstanding requirements at the time of rebooking.

Rebooking may result in a price increase and/or modifications to the itinerary, and such changes shall be binding upon acceptance.

7. Accepted Forms of Payment
Payments may be made using the following methods:

Credit card or ACH transfer through the WeTravel booking platform (processing fees apply).

Zelle payments to PAY@SANKOFAUS.COM (no processing fees). The participant’s full name and tour name must be included in the payment memo. Please allow up to fourteen (14) days for Zelle payments to be reflected on the invoice.

Payments exceeding Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00 USD) made by institutions or business entities may be made via wire transfer. Wire instructions will be provided upon request.
